Visionary Flora Montes is a proud Puerto Rican from the South Bronx whose entrepreneurial, philanthropic, and artistic endeavors drive her to be a force for positive change. She is the CEO & Founder of Bronx Fashion Week and Bronx Fashion Incubator NYC, an organization that will empower those through fashion, making their dreams a reality. Flora is a culinary school graduate, chef, businesswoman, and a published writer who has performed and produced shows for the famed Nuyorican Poets Café.

Flora serves on numerous committees. She serves on the Gala Fundraising Committee for RAIN Inc. as well as an Advisory Committee member for the Bronx Museum of The Arts. Flora Montes became fiercely passionate about the fashion industry after attending Latin Fashion Week in 2012. She has made it her mission to connect with industry leaders in the fashion world to bring Bronx Fashion Week to life and create some of the year's most anticipated events.

Her rise from the adversity of her less than ideal childhood has inspired her dreams to change the world. She uses her artistic abilities to encourage and support vulnerable communities such as homeless children and domestic violence victims. Her generosity and vibrant spirit have garnered her many awards and commendations. Some of her accomplishments include being named one of the 25 Most Influential Woman in NYC by the Bronx Times. The NY Times hailed her as a South Bronx Ambassador of Culture in 2017. She has also received recognition from local and city government officials like Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Councilmembers of NYC and Councilman Andy King, as well as Mayor Bill de Blasio for her efforts in leading Bronx Fashion Week.
